Cebu City | Where to Stay
|
#1 It is located a few steps away from SM City Cebu so you’ll have a lot more options on where to eat and buy things you need for your travel. They also have several coffee/tea shops such as Bo’s Coffee, BonAppetea, Coffee Dream, Gong Cha and a lot more.
#2 It is a few minutes away from the North Bus Terminal so if you are looking to spend the night before you travel north, this is the best option you have. We took an Uber (yes, Uber was still operational during our trip and yes, I terribly miss Uber) going to the North Bus Terminal because we had quite a number of luggage and we only paid PHP 68 or approximately USD 1.30. #3 It’s a decent business hotel but the price won’t hurt your pocket. The superior twin room we booked was only P2,181 (or approximately USD 42) per night for 2 people with free buffet breakfast.
#4 The sizes of the rooms are adequate but most importantly, very clean. We didn’t have a good view (what we can see from our window was a building being constructed) but that doesn’t really matter if you are staying only for a couple of nights. #5 The toiletries and the complimentary items were not as generous as other hotels but sufficient. Somehow, I rarely find myself using hotel complimentary toiletries unless they really smell good. Usually, I just take them home with me to take up valuable space in my luggage that I could have used for something else then eventually throw them away. LOL! #6 What I really loved in the room is the integrated USB charger, which I usually see in 5-star hotels only. Best for guests who usually forget their power adapters or run out of adapters for their gazillion gadgets. #7 They don’t use the traditional Do Not Disturb cardboards anymore (sad because I oddly like those) but I guess it just says that this hotel is keeping up with technology.
#8 I can’t say a lot about the breakfast buffet except that the number of food choices and the quality of their dishes were fair. Nothing special about the menu or the taste of their food and my husband did not particularly like their corned beef (tastes like Argentina corned beef according to him) . The dining area is a bit small for the number of guests it accommodates and it gets crowded around 7:30 AM onwards so better if you can start earlier. When we had our breakfast on a Thursday morning, we had to share the table with someone else, which never happened to me in other hotels. Hopefully, soon, the hotel’s management will realize they need bigger space. If you would like to stay in Bayfront Hotel during your next stay in Cebu City, you can book them here.
