I ♥ BATANGAS
.
Noni's Resort has been in my list of resorts to visit for a couple of years now. I never had the chance to go there as I am really more of a beach person rather than someone enjoying a mountain view so this resort always gets pushed down my list. But our family decided in the summer of 2022 to bring our dad on a road trip to Batangas on his birthday in July. We spent a weekend in Noni's Resort and it was a great decision to choose them to celebrate his birthday. Here's why:
You can read more about our 2-night stay in the resort in this blog and I'll be answering some of the questions I've been getting from my social media accounts. Where is Noni's Resort? The resort is located in Brgy. Ping-as, Alitagtag, Batangas. It's one of the few resorts in Alitagtag that gives you a view of Taal Lake from this side of Batangas. I don't think you'll be able to see the Taal Volcano from here but the Taal Lake itself is just as equally magnificent. We've never seen so much water, more than twice the size of Laguna de Bay. The lake serves as the drainage for most of the rainfall from the surrounding towns and cities. The weather was gloomy when we were there and it drizzled non-stop which made the view extremely serene and calming. The forest just below the property has lush and thick vegetation so it's very green everywhere you look, like it has not been affected at all by the recent eruptions of the Taal Volcano. I don't think there's an access going down since it looks very steep but you can just enjoy the lake from a bird's eye view, sort of. If you would like to check out other resorts in and around Alitagtag, you can check this list: Resorts in Alitagtag via Agoda How do we get to Alitagtag from Manila? The fastest way to get to Alitagtag from Metro Manila is using private transport. The travel time would be even faster if you pass through Skyway. We came from Quezon City so we always take the Quezon Avenue exit to take the Skyway all the way to SLEX. From SLEX, take the Lipa exit and drive straight towards the direction going to Lemery/Taal until you reach Alitagtag. You should be able to see Noni's signages to your right. Just one thing to note, if you are bringing your own transportation and relying on Waze or Google Maps, I suggest that you take the first kanto going to Noni's from SLEX (first photo on the left below) as the road here is more passable. I think this is the main entry since the signage here is bigger than the next one. We made a mistake passing through the next corner (photo on the right) since we came from Lemery. Although it's completely fine to pass through here, the roads are narrower, almost one-way, and quite difficult to maneuver when there's another car coming from the opposite direction. If you need to take public transportation, here are the instructions: 1. Ride a bus going to Lipa, Batangas. 2. Get off at the Lipa Terminal. 3. Take a jeepney bound for Lemery. 4. Ask the driver to drop you off at the corner of the road going to Ping-as. 5. There are tricycles here that can bring you to Noni's. In case you get lost or need more help with directions, you can always call Noni's at 09175955129. Is there parking space available at Noni's?YES! Noni's Resort provides a big parking space for their guests and the area is bigger than what other resorts of the same size provide, which can be a great deal to some. I think their parking space can accommodate up to 20-25 vehicles. When we were there on a weekend, only about half of the space was being occupied so you really don't have to worry that you might run out of parking slots. What are their requirements during the pandemic?I've noticed that resorts nowadays are not as strict as they were a few months back. Noni's Resort only asked us to provide our vaccination cards and as long as you have received your primary doses, that should be sufficient. No RT-PCR or antigen tests required. We even brought unvaccinated kids at that time, and they were not required to submit any test results. How much does it cost to stay in Noni's Resort? The price of the rooms depend on several factors such as the type of room, whether it's peak or non-peak and weekend versus weekday stay. Here are the prices for weekday and weekend stays on May 2023.
If you want to check for specific dates, you can do so via the options below. If you have time, it's best to check the prices for all these options as they can be potentially different. This will also help you get the most cost-efficient rate. For example, I booked our Talisay Cabin via Agoda since it was cheaper there but the Sta. Teresita Villa, I had to book with the hotel directly since they were offering a promo for the room at the time of our stay.
